About Carolina Panthers |
| |
In 1995, the Carolina Panthers were granted a franchise expansion slot and the Panthers came into existence. Placed in the NFC South, the Panthers joined the league in the same year as the Jacksonville Jaguars. The inaugural Head Coach for the team was Dom Capers who led the team to a 7-9 record, good for 3rd place in the NFC West.
Two head coaches later and the franchise have won one Conference Championship, three Division Championships and have made it into the playoffs four times in fourteen seasons.
